Gladis Owens, 79 of Oneida, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Huntsville Manor Nursing Home. She was born January 14, 1938 to the late Virgial and Lillie Harness Bowling.
She was a member of the Black Creek Crossroads Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Bowling; great-grandson, Marcus Tucker; brother, Lester Bowling; sisters, Violia Foley, Lola Brown, and Hazel Cross.
Survivors include her daughter, Durita Slaven; son, Billy Joe Bowling; sisters, Elsie Denoyer and Edna Cross; brothers, Sylvester Bowling, Harold Bowling, and Laurence Bowling; grandson, Dustin Slaven; great-granddaughter, Savanah Slaven; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 1 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with bro. Jerry Byrge officiating.
Interment followed in the Black Creek CrossRoads Cemetery
